Rock-a-Thon is an event where students sit in rocking chairs for 24 hours in order to raise money for charity. It was entertaining to see everyone pushing their chairs through the door, with full bags towered on top- mostly filled with electronics and snacks.
Every couple of hours there were 10 minute breaks to stretch and use the restroom. Circles formed, resembling gym class, or cheer practice with a senior getting lifted to the ceiling. Being surrounded by friends for 24 hours on end was phenomenal as they got to talk and have fun while swaying back and forth. The time out of the house was nice, and made better by the knowledge that money would be donated because of it.
