April 4th marked the annual Spring Pep Rally, which meant the week leading up, April 1-4, was Pep Week! With different themes each day, both students and staff had the opportunity to show their spirit by dressing up. Once again, the NBTHS community did not disappoint!
At the pep rally, there are many different games, fundraisers, and other activities to participate in, all activities earn points for each grade. The grade that earns the most points wins the spirit cup! Not only was pep week super fun, but it is also a great opportunity for students to help their grade earn points. Each day, homeroom representatives keep track of the number of students who dress up, and the grade with the most participants wins!
There are three pep weeks each year, with different themed days throughout. This week's themes were College Day, Bikers vs. Surfers, Class Color Day, and Blue and Gold Day! It is always super fun to see the creative ways students show their spirit.
Students have a blast creating unique outfits for the different themes. Senior Zoe Njoku loves participating in pep week, and when asked about her favorite theme, she said, "I liked Decades day." Junior Mia Monterio shared that she loves participating in pep week because "It's a fun way to show my school spirit and the themes are always fun."
Overall, pep week is always an amazing demonstration of school spirit. Both the NBTHS students and staff went above and beyond, showing their pride in our school. This was a great final pep week of the year, and an amazing way to raise morale going into the last marking period!
