NBTHS's Annual Mr. NBTHS

On Friday, March 14th, at 7:30 PM, NBTHS SGO hosted Mr. NBTHS. This is a fun show where the boys from NBTHS get to compete in a pageant-like activity and compete to win the title.

Mr. NBTHS was hosted by Vanna Abadiotakis and Sami Guadagnino who are on the SGO board. The show begun with a group performance including all of the contestants-

Seniors:

Timmy DeGaetano

Isaac Gaston

Malakai Hines

Carson Kelly

Hayden McCarthy

Andre Miguel Ovejas

Andrew Selover

Juniors:

Vaibhav Chari

Scott Cohen

Prem Desai

Each contestant had to showcase a talent on the big stage. One of the performsnces that stuck out was Timmy DeGaetano giving Kevin Vallese a haircut, while two people from the audience, Seniors Sachit Arora and Joshua Anudon played tic-tac-toe on his head. Another standout was Scott Cohen’s performance of Bruno Mar’s song, "When I Was Your Man," where he showed that he is a multi-instrumentalist. 

After talents, contestants were then escorted out by the following:

Hayden McCarthy - Vanna Abadiotakis and Lennon Trevelise

Andre Miguel Ovejas - Sage Ford and Raye Njoku

Isaac Gaston - Elani Crespo

Carson Kelly - Mia Rosario

Vaibhav Chari- Ritika Vyas

Prem Desai - Mia Monteiro and Gracyn Brockman

Andrew Selover - Juliana Williams

Malakai Hines - Alyanna

Timmy DeGaetano - Sami Gaudagnino

Scott Cohen - Jahn Whitworth and Aulani Davion, where they played "Jig 2" as a surprise

Sophomore Riley Mikolajewski who watched the event shared, "I really loved the show, it was really funny and when Scott Cohen played Jig 2, that was my favorite."

Finally, the event ended with a questions section, where each contestant had chosen a question from a box and had to honestly answer it. After the questions, a slideshow of the contestants baby photos was shown while awards awaited. The final scores were: 

1st - Scott Cohen 

2nd - Malakai Hines 

3rd - Vaibhav Chari

Senior Malakai Hines said, "I am really happy with the results, of course I would have loved first but getting even second was an honor and I really enjoyed this experience."

Mr. NBTHS was a success, and the audience had a great time! SGO has hosted another successful school event. Junior Scott Cohen was this year’s Mr. NBTHS, and we can’t wait to see who will win Mr. NBTHS in 2026!
