The World Cup is finally over and Argentina came out on top! Let's take a look at their run to the final.
They first defeated Australia 2-1 in the Round of 16. Then, in the quarter-finals, they had a draw against the Netherlands, which Argentina would proceed to win by a Messi goal. In the semi-finals, they destroyed Croatia 3-0. They were ready to meet France for the World Cup Finals.
France also had a good run. They started by defeating Poland 3-1 in the Round of 16. Then, they proceed to win against England 2-1 in the quarter-finals. France would then defeat Morocco 2-0 in the semi-finals.
Finally, on the biggest stage of the tournament, the World Cup Final, Argentina had a draw against France, which Argentina would proceed to win by a goal from Gonzalo Montiel. Both teams had impressive runs, but Argentina capped it off by winning the World Cup Final.
