Spring Sports in Action

Baseball

The Baseball Team, led by Coach Rosenberg, picked up a win over Sayreville to start the season. Senior Timmy DeGaetano, who is committed to play at Alvernia University, said, “I’m looking forward to playing with my friends for the final time before going to college.” The team hopes to build on that win as they take on Middlesex, Colonia, and Steinert in the coming weeks.
Boys Lacrosse

North Brunswick is hosting the GMC finals for boys lacrosse for the first time since 2016. The Boys’ Lacrosse team, led by Coach Andreadis, is ready to build on the strong foundation they’ve set over the past two years. With their entire defense and goalie returning, experience will be a strength. Three freshmen are starting on offense for the first time in program history, bringing new energy to the team.
Boys Volleyball

The Volleyball Team has started the season strong with an exciting win over Woodbridge. Freshman Krish Patel shared, “Winning against Woodbridge was super hype,” showing the team’s high energy. They also pulled off a huge comeback against East Brunswick, rallying from 8 points down. Up next, they’ll take on nearby opponents like Edison, South Brunswick, and Piscataway- be sure to come out and support!
Girls Lacrosse
The Girls Lacrosse season is just getting started, but the team is already showing strong effort and team spirit. Senior captain Megan Keefe shared that one of her favorite moments so far was scrimmaging St. John Vianney, where they faced competition they've never seen before. Megan Keefe also mentioned how much she enjoys the fun atmosphere at practice, like all the inside jokes with Coach Porzio and Coach Sham.

Senior Hooriya Khan agreed, saying the SJV game was tough, but the team came out strong and won. “We’re looking forward to coming out strong during every game and trying our hardest,” she said. She also shared how much she’ll miss the team, especially the fun bus rides after big wins, and the coaches who always push them to improve.
Golf

The Golf Team led by Coach DePasquale is off to a strong start this spring. Senior Kevin Vallese said the team has been practicing a lot and is in a good spot for GMC's. He's also excited for the statewide tournament coming up. New member Eesha Patel said golf has been "very fun and relaxing" and that the coaches are great at helping beginners. With spring weather and a beautiful course, the team is enjoying both learning and competing.
Softball

The Softball Team is working hard this season with Coach Tamarana and Coach Zangrilli leading them. Senior Lauren Goldenfarb shared that her favorite moments are warming up as a team before games. “I’m looking forward to the playoffs, and I hope that we can make it further in GMCS and States,” Gabriella Melendez stated. Jordan Tarabokia, who is committed to playing softball at Montclair State University, said her favorite memory so far is dancing and singing in the dugout before games. She’s also excited to reach the school’s strikeout record very soon. The team recently earned a win against J.P. Stevens and will face Woodbridge, South Brunswick, and a rematch with J.P. Stevens in their upcoming games.
Tennis
The Tennis Team, coached by Mr. Fitzpatrick, has had a strong start to the season. After losing their first match to South Plainfield, they bounced back with a big 4-1 win against Middlesex. The team is now getting ready to face Old Bridge, Spotswood, and North Plainfield, with plenty of season left to play.
