Mr. Billy Ballard is a physical education teacher at North Brunswick Township High School, but during his high school years, he was a Division I baseball prospect. However, plans don’t always end up how we imagine them to be. When Mr. Ballard’s appendix ruptured, he not only lost the opportunity of a lifetime at the NCAA level, but he also lost a lot of motivation to find a new path.
In the first episode of the Mass Podcast, our hosts seniors Peter Kassouf, Hari Selvaraj, Marrius Ramsey, and Dean Kamel sat down with Mr. Ballard to talk about how he hustled his way back toward a life he is proud of, and the pivots he needed to make along the way.
