The wrestling team had a loss 36-27 by metuchen. Overall they had an incredible game with plenty of wins in the different weight classes and even a couple of forfeits. The Raiders had two wins in the 170 weight class and had a forfeit at 113, 126 and the heavyweight division. I asked wrestler Rashwan Burrell about his performance had the match and he said “I wrestled at 170 and got my 2 wins with 12 to 6”. Overall a good performance by the Raiders, a performance so good that the metuchen coach said himself “Taking out the forfeits we beat them and surprised the division”. Very strong words coming from the head coach himself and good energy for the wrestling team to go out on. The next match for the boys is Saturday, January 12th at Red Bank Regional HS and we hope the very best for our Raiders in their upcoming match. Impact players Like Axel L. and Caesar should make this next match an interesting one and the only think the Raiders can do is learn from this loss and use it as motivation for the next one and complete the job.
