Poem of the month

Updated: Mar 30, 2021

HOPE TORRES, Staff Writer

Modern Alas

On his shoulders

He carries the world

A heavy load of

Pain and sorrow

Day by day

He grows more and more

The crooked way

Soon his nose

Can touch his knees

Or the ground with ease

Why not throwing off

This impossible burden

Grab his own bundle

Hard enough to hold

Inspiratietwater is a young man who writes short stories, poems, and blogs. He started his poetry career by submitting to forums. Interestingly, his name is dutch for “my own neologism (new world) inspiration water”.
