Movie Review: Puss in Boots: The Last Wish

GRACE DEL VALLE, Contributing Writer

Released December 21, Puss and Boots: The Last Wish was one of the best movies to finish off the year. Influenced by Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Dreamworks introduced one of their iconic characters, Puss, in a new 3D animated comic style. Taking on a more mature theme, the movie touches upon the fear of death and anxiety – however, anyone could enjoy animation regardless of its theme.

I highly recommend giving Puss and Boots: The Last Wish a chance if you haven’t already. With a variety of new characters, the movie is a fun, short, and refreshing watch. If you can, you should at least watch it twice! Subtly hidden, there are multiple small, foreshadowing moments that give Death, the main antagonist, an even eerier aura.
