FRC Team 25-Raider Robotix (North Brunswick Township High School, North Brunswick, NJ) played in their second competition in the FIRST Mid-Atlantic (FMA) Region this past weekend and qualified for FMA Regional championships to be held at Leigh University April 16 through April 18, 2026. The local competition, hosted by Montgomery Regional High School on April 11 and 12, 2026, had a field of 34 robotic teams. At the end of Qualification matches, Raider Robotix was ranked #7; as the Alliance 4 captain, Raider Robotix was joined by Team 7045-MC Crusaders (Denville, NJ) and Team 11104-Phoenix Phanatics (East Brunswick, NJ) in Semi-final matches. The Alliance fought hard in the Semi-finals until match 12 where they were defeated.

At their prior competition at Robbinsville High School March 21 and 22, Raider Robotix was ranked 14 in a field of 29 teams; they were selected as an alliance partner by Alliance 5 and were eliminated in the 10th match of the Semi-finals. At this competition, Raider Robotix won the Gracious Professionalism Award.

This year’s FRC game “FIRST RebuilT” is an archaeological-themed game where matched have two alliances of three teams each, randomly chosen, and the alliances compete in a 3-minute timed match. Scoring depends on the most balls collected and scored by the alliance, and if robots were able to successfully hang off the floor of the playing area. All FIRST competitions are free and open to the general public. For more information on the competition and FIRST, please visit firstinspires.com.
