[Virtual Recognition Spring 2020]
"Although we cannot celebrate together this year, I wanted to take this time to congratulate this year’s National Honor Society inductees. This year would have been the 45th National Honor Society Induction Ceremony. Membership in the National Honor Society is offered to students in recognition of demonstrated qualities of academics, service, leadership and character. This year, 90 students who met those criteria will be inducted. They have gone through a rigorous selection process conducted by members of the Faculty Council. This year’s inductees are a talented, motivated and honorable group of young people who thrive on helping others, and I look forward to working with them to continue their charitable efforts when we get back to school." - Meg Wright, NHS Advisor
"To the students being inducted into the National Honor Society for 2019-2020, you represent the very best academically in our school. But as many of you are aware through your application process, there is much more to being a member of NHS. This organization, is built on the 4 pillars of Scholarship, Service, Leadership and Character. All of you have excellent grades, but I want to emphasize that you were also chosen by our Faculty Council because you have excelled in the areas of character, service, and leadership as well. NHS marks a beginning and not the end for each of you, as you will be expected to embrace each of these pillars in your lives both in and out of school as you move forward as members of National Honor Society. As inspirational author, H. Jackson Brown, Jr. once wrote, “Our character is what we do when we think no one is looking.” I strongly encourage each of you to use your remaining time as a student at NBTHS to give back to our school and the greater North Brunswick community through actively embracing all four pillars of National Honor Society. Congratulations to all of you once again! Thank you." - Mr. Kneller, NBTHS Principal
