The 2024 school year came in with a bang, with several events kicking off the first marking period. Although many of these events were big, none of them came close to the anticipation and build up to the Fall Pep Rally. Playing live covers of hits like "Not Like Us," "Bad Romance," and "Industry Baby," the band had a big role with hyping up the students for the show and games.
It started with announcing the winners of the school fundraiser, the seniors took home the win as they typically do every year. After the winners were announced, they kicked off the main show with a phenomenal performance by the NBTHS cheer team, with some of the football players included in their dance. Once they wrapped up, the real games began, with each grade competing for the win. Every year these games get extremely competitive and this year was no different. Stars from each grade did what they could to push for that victory. As the games came to an end, Mr. Ojeda, Social Studies teacher, came out to announce the 2024 Homecoming king and queen, as well as the picks for the Mr. & Mrs. Raider titles. As the crowd cheered for each pick it was announced that Mr. Diaz and Mrs. Johnson took home the Mr. & Mrs. Raider titles, with an overwhelming majority in votes.
All in all, this year's pep rally was one of the biggest, with every grade chipping in to the long awaited hype.
