On October 18, Raider Robotix hosted and competed in the annual Brunswick Eruptions, securing a 3rd-place victory on their home turf.
The NBTHS gym came alive with noise, energy, and excitement at 9 a.m. that Saturday. More than 30 teams arrived to compete in Brunswick Eruptions, filling the day with intense action, quick repairs, and plenty of suspense as each match unfolded

Brunswick Eruptions is an annual off-season FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) event hosted by Raider Robotix. While most teams wheeled their robots in early to compete, Raider Robotix had already been hard at work the day before, on October 17. They spent hours setting up the field, preparing game pieces, and fine-tuning the electronics- staying from noon, all the way until 9 p.m. that night. By the time the event started, Raider Robotix had proven they could not only build world-winning robots, but also host a popular event worth erupting over.

The competition itself was fierce. Matches were fast-paced and often unpredictable, with alliances forming and shifting throughout the day. Raider Robotix’s own robot performed admirably, demonstrating both precision and resilience in the face of tough opponents. Crowds cheered as autonomous routines executed flawlessly and drivers made split-second decisions under pressure.
By the end of the day, the awards ceremony highlighted Raider Robotix’s success. Securing 3rd place among more than 30 competing teams was a testament to their skill, teamwork, and strategy. Beyond the rankings, the team’s efforts in hosting the event were also recognized, as Brunswick Eruptions ran smoothly thanks to their meticulous planning and dedication.
For Raider Robotix, the day was more than just competition- it was a celebration of robotics, collaboration, and school spirit. As the gym emptied and teams packed up to head home, the energy lingered, promising that next year’s Eruptions would be even bigger, louder, and more intense.
